Private Practice Policy

• Fee Schedule:
  Private Insurance:
  Rate set by insurance company.
  
  Maine Care:
  Rate set by Maine Care guidelines.
  
  Private Pay:
  For individuals, couples or family therapy session, $75.00 per 50-minute hour. Longer sessions are available upon request. The charge for a one and a half hour session is $100.00.
  
  Sliding Fee Scale (based on income):
  $50.00 per 50-minute hour ($75 for one and a half hours), if gross income for family of four is less than $30,000/year or if income for single individual is less than $20,000/year.
• Payment:
  Payment is due upon completion of a session for private pay clients.
• Cancellations:
  If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, please call 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment to cancel.
• Contacting Me:
  If you need to contact me between appointments due to an emergency, please call 207-251-3287. If you leave a message, I will return your call as soon as possible. I do not charge for emergency calls, but limit these calls to ten minutes. You may also email me between sessions with questions.
• Taking Charge:
  I encourage clients to take charge of their own therapy. If you are not happy about something that occurs during the session or wish to see therapy progress in a different direction, I encourage you to bring that up with me in session so that we can remedy the situation.
